An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. The only trouble is that the tree was in the middle of a lonely lane when they were imprisone...。在风景如画的桂林，两户人家隔河相望，一家是武当嫡传的鲍笙凤（于承惠 饰），鲍家一连八个，皆为女儿，致武当剑法有失传之虞，鲍笙凤整日愁眉不展，更对对岸的少林一家怒目相视。十年前，少林弟子天龙（于海 饰）、二龙从强盗秃鹰（计春华 饰）一伙手中救下八名孤儿，师兄弟将八个干儿子辛苦养大，自己的终身大事却一拖再拖，两人属意鲍家大凤、二凤（丁岚 饰）多时，无奈鲍笙凤视少林为敌，定下十头牛换一门亲的苛刻条件。三龙（李连杰 饰）与七个兄弟为成全干爹和二叔，不舍不弃使出连番妙计，同时与三凤（黄秋燕 饰）在长期的对峙中互生了情意……另一方面，不甘十年前受创的秃鹰一伙派出奸细，试图进一步挑拨龙、凤两家关系，三龙为父为己的求婚之路，顿时荆棘密布……。
