Elsa has lived her life ...。在枪炮世家长大的侯久满（倪大红饰）一心想通过造枪造炮来打败洋人，因一次偶然机会被慈禧封为“枪炮侯”，但满清朝廷并不资助他一分一毫。侯久满费尽心思“找钱”，抓贪官、坑恶吏、抢海盗，一切不损害百姓利益的“敛财”手段他都用尽了，过程喜感十足。侯久满感情经历更是曲折———他原本有一个结发妻子侯氏（赵静饰），怎奈慈禧太后（吕中饰）给他赐了一个“耳目”阿尔萨兰 （杨雪饰），并令其娶为正室。心里爱着侯氏的侯久满耍了个花招，先休了侯氏，娶了阿尔萨兰，再把侯氏娶回来……而侯久满的四个孩子，则用各自的方式走上了“革命之路”。。
